1. All candidates must be aged between 18 and 75, physically fit and not under the influence of alcohol or drugs, including prescribed medicines. If in doubt, you must seek the advice of your Medical Practitioner.
2. All courses are offered by Footplate Days and Way Ltd subject to any operational constraints on the day. The locomotive will be selected by the Bluebell Railway from their available fleet on the appropriate day.
3. In the event of a booked course not being available due to any circumstances, Footplate Days and Ways Ltd will seek to offer an alternative course of equal or higher value at a mutually convenient time and day. If this is not possible to arrange, a full refund of the fee paid will be made and this shall be the full liability of Footplate Days and Ways Ltd.
4. In the event of a candidate cancelling a booked course, a minimum of 28 days notice is required for a refund to be made, less a £5 administration charge. If less than 28 days notice is given, any refund is at the discretion of Footplate Days and Ways Ltd and is subject to the course being reallocated.
5. Similarly, any candidate wishing to change the booked date of a course a minimum of 28 days notice is also required. If less than 28 days notice is given any changes to the booked date of a course is made at the discretion of Footplate Days and Ways Ltd and is subject to the course being reallocated.
6. Cancellations or change of date cannot be made within seven (7) days of the booked date.
7. Open dated Gift Certificates with the course date to be arranged (T.B.A.) are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of issue.
8. Candidates are required to attend the preliminary safety briefing on joining the course and prior to boarding the locomotive, and to comply at all times with instructions given by Footplate Days and Ways Ltd instructors and officials.
